Arsenal star appears to aim subtle dig at Virgil van Dijk after win over Liverpool: ‘I don’t forget’

Piero Hincapie appeared to hit back at Virgil van Dijk following Arsenal’s victory against Liverpool.
The Gunners went three points clear at the top of the Premier League after a first-half strike from Kai Havertz earned Mikel Arteta ‘s side their first win at Anfield since 2014.
The Reds were hoping that all three points would firmly place them in the title conversation.
Things looked promising in the lead up as Andoni Iraola had won five consecutive matches prior to facing Mikel Arteta .
Despite having more of the ball, Liverpool failed to register a shot on target in a Premier League game at Anfield for the first time on record.
The Merseyside club remain in fifth place and nine points away from the Gunners.

Hincapie replaced Christos Tzolis in the final stages of the match to help see out the game.
The Ecuador international later took to Instagram afterwards and posted a series of pictures.
It included a zoomed-in image of the golden Premier League badge worn on the shirt sleeves of the defending champions. He captioned the post: ‘I don’t forget’.
Many supporters recognised that Van Dijk posted a similar picture on Instagram after the goalless draw between the teams at the Emirates in January.
The Reds wore the golden Premier League badge last season, with the defender seemingly wanting to remind the north Londoners of that.
Hincapie’s post had Declan Rice commenting with a smiley face, and Ezri Konsa respond with two flame emojis and a heart.

It was a frustrating game for the Merseyside-based team as Andy Madley and VAR denied two penalty shouts with the most controversial being Jurrien Timber’s shirt pull on Alexander Isak.
Liverpool ‘s captain said: “I think it was also a clear penalty. I’ve seen it back.
“There are 50 cameras, even more. Why does he have to complain if there are so many cameras?
“In the end it wasn’t given and we lose the game. So well done to Arsenal .”
talkSPORT’s Jeff Stelling also believes that the Reds deserved a penalty, and said: “I don’t blame the referee for not seeing it.
“There’s no discussion about whether it was a penalty or not… it clearly should have been.
“It’s a dereliction of duty from the VAR though, isn’t it.”
Ally McCoist added: “Yes, 100 per cent. I thought the referee had a good game but he can’t see everything.
“He needs help from his assistants and VAR. We’re talking about how we don’t want people to go down too easy and we want them to stay on their feet.
“And Isak is trying to stay on his feet and have an attempt on goal. He does that, and he probably falls victim to the penalty not being given.
“Whether he falls down or not, it has got nothing to do with whether it’s a penalty, it’s clearly a penalty.
“I just thought it was a really poor mistake made by the referee’s VAR team.”
