Barcelona & Juventus tipped for January swap deal

A surprise defender exchange has this week been rumoured between La Liga champions Barcelona, and Italian heavyweights Juventus. This comes amid the understanding that the two clubs would consider a left-back swap deal during the January transfer window. Barcelona, for their part, are looking to move on from academy product Alejandro Balde, who has fallen firmly out of favour in the plans of manager Hansi Flick. All the while, the Blaugrana are keeping a close eye on the situation of Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso, appreciated for his versatility and technical qualities. As per a report from Fichajes , citing information from European transfer insider Ekrem Konur, Deco and the Camp Nou brass are considering a €25 million offer for Cambiaso. With Juventus seeking a fee closer to €40 million, however, it is also suggested that: ‘The possibility of proposing a swap deal involving Alejandro Balde may also be under consideration.’ Conor Laird – GSFN
