🤯 Crooked goal line: Torino-Lecce kicks off 17' late! Scenes 😱

The Torino-Lecce match kicked off 17 minutes late for an extraordinary reason: the match officials deemed the goal line in front of the Curva Maratona "crooked". The teams were already lined up on the pitch, ready to start the match, but referee Feliciani held up the kick-off. The incorrectly drawn line would have prevented the cameras and Goal Line Technology from working properly, as well as making the pitch itself "non-compliant". The ground staff redrew the goal line and referee Feliciani tested the Goal Line Technology (by moving the ball over the goal line and checking his watch), but the initial test was unsuccessful. The match only got underway after further confirmation from VAR. This article was translated into English by Artificial Intelligence. You can read the original version in 🇮🇹 here.
