Ladd McConkey has battled injuries throughout the 2026 season, but he appears to be ready to go for Week 6. Originally entering the league as a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft , the Georgia product took the league by storm and immediately established himself as one of Justin Herbert’s most reliable targets. Starting in 14 games while making 16 appearances, the wideout finished his inaugural campaign with 82 receptions for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns on 112 targets. While he wasn’t quite as effective in Year 2, he remained a key part of the offense. Now entering Week 6, Ladd McConkey has been one of the few consistent weapons in the Los Angeles Chargers offense, and he may finally be able to help the team earn its first win of the season. The third-year wideout does not have an injury designation on the team’s official report , so he should be ready to go for Sunday. It’s hard to call any game a “must-win” this early in the season, but that’s exactly what Week 6 is for the Los Angeles Chargers. At 0-5, the team is already 4.5 games behind the Kansas City Chiefs, and their Wild Card chances are pretty much gone. There is no precedent for an 0-6 team to make the playoffs, and Ladd McConkey is pretty much the only shot this team has of moving the football.
