Top offensive players in FSU's win over Boston College

Yahoo Sports
The road losing streak has finally come to end for the Florida State Seminoles . After losing 12 consecutive games away from Doak Campbell Stadium, they were able to defeat the Boston College Eagles on Saturday afternoon to improve to 4-5 on the year. Despite going down 10-0 in the first quarter, FSU exploded for 21 points in the second quarter to take the lead before halftime. Late in the fourth quarter, they went on a 14-play drive that totaled 90 yards that put them ahead with just over two minutes left. A turnover on downs by the Eagles allowed the Seminoles to run out the clock and wrap up the 31-24 win. This stopped a three-game losing streak for Florida State, and it also kept their hopes for a bowl game alive as they now need two wins in their final three games to make the postseason. Now, let's check out the top offensive players for FSU in their victory over Boston College. Amari Thomas Quintrevion Wisner got the start, but Thomas was clearly the best runner for Florida State on Saturday. He registered 98 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns on the day as he finished with 107 all-purpose yards. The true freshman showed that he needs to be featured a lot more over the next three games as his explosiveness brings a valuable asset to FSU's offense. Micahi Danzy With Duce Robinson out for the season, Danzy has become the Seminoles' top threat in the passing game, and he put up a very solid performance with seven receptions for 86 yards which led the team in both categories. This followed up his 108 yards and a touchdown on four catches versus the Clemson Tigers, which shows that he's capable of holding down the WR1 spot. Jasen Lopez Much like Thomas, Lopez proved that Florida State has some big-time freshman talent. He hauled in four passes for 54 yards against Boston College, and his 40-yard punt return near the end of the first quarter set up the first touchdown for the Seminoles. Lopez finished with 101 all-purpose yards on the day, and he'll certainly get more opportunities during the rest of the season.
