Final injury report: Jordan Mason questionable, Colts down two key starters

Yahoo Sports
Coming out of their bye week, the Vikings have almost a perfectly clean injury report as they head into the weekend preparing to host the Colts on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. After everyone on the 53-man roster was a full participant in Thursday’s practice, the Vikings do not have any players on their active roster with game designations on Friday. The only player listed as questionable is running back Jordan Mason, who practiced in full all week and is expected to make his return on Sunday after missing the past four games with a thumb injury. “Jordan Mason practiced fully all week,” Kevin O’Connell said. “Really good week of work. We’ll work through what that looks like, but he is technically questionable right now. Things are looking positive for him being available.” It sounds like Mason is essentially only listed as questionable because he’s still on injured reserve at the moment. He’ll almost certainly be activated from IR on Saturday, which will require a corresponding roster move. Mason and Aaron Jones are expected to split carries in Minnesota’s backfield moving forward. Wide receiver Jordan Addison, left tackle Christian Darrisaw, and tight end T.J. Hockenson will also be back in action after missing the Vikings’ most recent game in New Orleans prior to the bye. The Vikings have had Kyler Murray, Justin Jefferson, and Addison on the field together for a total of 18 snaps this season. That’s about to change, which is good news for an offense that hasn’t been great for much of the first five weeks. The 2-4 Colts will be without a key starter on both sides of the ball in this one. Tight end Tyler Warren, who leads the team with 30 receptions, will miss a second consecutive game with a groin injury. That’s a big blow for Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis offense. Defensively, the Colts will be without top cornerback Sauce Gardner due to a calf injury. Charvarius Ward and Cam Taylor-Britt are the Colts’ top healthy outside cornerbacks. It’s a 12 p.m. kickoff on Sunday on CBS.
