Skip Bayless admits NBA star is now ‘winning even me over’ after latest display

Skip Bayless has commended Luka Doncic after his starring display for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Sacramento Kings. The Lakers came away with a 116-103 win on Wednesday night, which included Doncic securing a game-high 40 points as well as seven assists. On the back of his impressive showing, Bayless has taken to X/Twitter to say that the Lakers star is ‘winning even me over’. He also suggested that the team are actually better without now-Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James. He wrote: “Luka at it again, 23 in the 1st half at Sac, finally playing defense, finally making 3s at a Steph clip, winning even me over. “Lakers are better without LeBron sharing Luka’s stage. This is now his show and is he ever seizing this stage.” After beating the Kings, the Lakers are now 7-2 for the season and joint-second in the Western Conference behind the 6-1 Portland Trail Blazers. Meanwhile, Luka is leading the NBA in points per game by a considerable margin at present. He is averaging 38.3, which is over eight more than second place Stephen Curry (30). Doncic will be aiming to carry on that impressive form this Sunday as the Lakers take on the Detroit Pistons.
