Maxx Crosby has clear message for Jerry Jones amid decision on Raiders trade

Maxx Crosby could be one of the biggest names moved before the NFL trade deadline. But the five-time Pro Bowler has made his focus clear as the Las Vegas Raiders attempt to turn a 4-4 record into a surprising playoff berth. With Kirk Cousins impressing as Las Vegas’ veteran quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza being allowed to learn from the bench , rookie head coach Klint Kubiak has the Raiders moving in the right direction in 2026. Yet several NFL teams have already made big moves ahead of the November 10 deadline and Crosby’s name has been mentioned in trade rumors for years. With less than a week remaining before trades are barred until the new league year, Crosby spoke up about his murky future in Las Vegas. “I love being a Raider,” Crosby said. “I’ve said that about a million times. This is where I want to be.” That’s a change from last March, when Crosby almost became a Baltimore Raven . The gifted pass rusher left a rebuilding franchise for a contender, in exchange for two first-round pic ks. But a controversial failed physical ended Crosby’s brief time as a Raven. He never practiced or wore a uniform, and he was soon back in the Raiders’ organization. Baltimore is now struggling through a 4-4 season without star QB Lamar Jackson , while the Raiders are showing clear progress. “I mean I’ve gone through some s*** in my life, I can’t lie,” Crosby said on The Rush. “But that whole situation was probably one of the most unique, crazy, wild, up-and-down roller coasters I’ve ever been a part of for about five days, I would say. It was crazy.” Crosby, 29, could surely help a defensive-needy team such as the Dallas Cowboys . Owner Jerry Jones traded away star Micah Parsons last offseason and Dallas ranks 27th in the NFL in average points allowed (26.6) this year. But Crosby has remained committed to the Raiders and the former fourth-round pick has produced 22 combined tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery for Kubiak’s team. After the Ravens passed on Crosby, he keeps sounding like a Raider for life. “I don’t play for that external stuff,” Crosby said. “I play the game because I love it, because it’s my passion since I was a child. I play for my legacy. I play to win. I play for my teammates. “It just made that s*** even more clear. … You think this s*** was hard? It was a lot, but I’ve been through way worse in my life. I’ve been through real adversity a million times over.” If Crosby remains with the Raiders this week, his team will travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers on Sunday.
