Devils stay top with overtime victory against Stars

Cardiff Devils remain top of Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) after a hard-earned 2-1 overtime victory against Dundee Stars at Vindico Arena on Friday, 6 November.
Visiting netminder Vladislav Pestov finished with 53 saves for the Stars who frustrated a dominant home side with a resolute defensive display.
Dundee opened the scoring in the first period through Matthew DeBoer, after a breakaway from a Devils error.
The home side finally found a way through with a Brandon Estes shot from point to equalise midway through the second.
Neither side could force a regulation winner, and there were just 40 seconds left on the clock in overtime when Kristoff Kontos scored his first league goal of the season to claim the extra point for Cardiff.
"It's two points, it's a win," said a relieved Devils head coach Paul Thompson.
"We didn't make the most of the [offensive] zone time that we had from a scoring perspective, but I'm happy that Kontos made that big play to score us the OT winner."
Cardiff - who have 13 points, the same as second placed Sheffield Steelers - travel to Fife Flyers on Sunday, 8 November (17:00 GMT).
