With Jalen Hurts out for the rest of the 2026 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles will be rolling with Tanner McKee as the starting quarterback going forward. While the Eagles have dealt with plenty of injury issues this season, heading into Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys , they got some good news about a few key offensive players coming off injured reserve. Prior to Monday Night Football against the rival Cowboys, the Eagles announced that five players were added to the roster for this matchup, including second-round rookie tight end Eli Stowers for his NFL debut. While he's not shown a whole lot yet, he hasn't even had a chance to play in the NFL. Hurts won't be the one throwing him the ball, but McKee, who he likely had plenty of reps with during the preseason and training camp, will be. Stowers and Makai Lemon might need to have a big day against Dallas, as DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are out, leaving Lemon, Darius Cooper, Hollywood Brown, Stowers, and Dallas Goedert as the top pass-catching options. This is a big game for the Eagles, as a loss could have Philly considering a trade deadline sell-off, while a win could potentially convince the Eagles they can contend for the NFC East title this season.
