3 bold predictions for Seahawks’ Week 9 matchup vs. Cardinals
Yahoo Sports
The Seattle Seahawks will play at home in their Week 9 divisional showdown against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and will look to build momentum and strengthen their position in the NFC West with a win on the day. Following their victory over the Cardinals earlier in the year, the Seahawks will have an opportunity to make another statement this week by completing the season sweep. Here are three bold predictions for the matchup.
1. Josh Jobe records multiple interceptions
Jobe will put forth his biggest performance of the season against Arizona. Entering Week 9 with 32 tackles and one interception, the Seahawks cornerback will have another opportunity to make his presence felt against Arizona. Although he didn't record an interception in the two teams’ previous meeting this year, expect Jobe to capitalize on mishaps from Gardner Minshew and come away with multiple takeaways in the game.
2. Tory Horton surpasses 70 receiving yards
Seattle has been searching for dependable WR2 production all season long, and Horton will finally provide it. Horton has recorded eight receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown this season. Against Arizona, expect him to deliver a season-best performance, surpassing 70 receiving yards and giving Seattle another dangerous option alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
3. Seahawks defense holds Gardner Minshew to under 150 passing yards
Seattle's defense will make life difficult for Minshew all game long. Expect consistent pressure, disrupted passing lanes and opportunistic coverage from the Seahawks’ unit. The Seahawks will hold Minshew to under 150 passing yards while forcing at least one interception.
