Leaders Devils fight back twice to beat Flyers in overtime

Cardiff Devils maintained their position at the top of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) with a 4-3 overtime win at Fife Flyers on Sunday. Friday night's 2-1 overtime victory against Dundee Stars had seen Devils return to the top of the table. Mika Partanen put Flyers ahead inside the opening five minutes against the run of play. But Tom Caron's equaliser meant the sides were level at the end of the opening period. Partanen restored the hosts' advantage with his second of the evening but Devils responded eight seconds later. Two goals in the space of two minutes from Kohen Olischefski and Kristoff Kontos saw Devils edge in front for the first time in the game. Cameron Hough got Flyers back on level terms and with no further goals in the third period the game required overtime, in which Josh MacDonald secured victory. Devils' next game will be at home to the Nottingham Panthers at the Vindico Arena on Friday, 13 November (19:00 GMT).
