The Roman newspaper reveals that the Portuguese international is suffering from a strained flexor. Will Tavares Recover for Napoli vs Lazio? The next few hours should shed some light on the 26-year-old’s condition. Gattuso will be hoping for a swift return to training, as he would like to count on his first-choice left-back at the Stadio Maradona, especially after losing Zaccagni’s services on the left wing. Alfonso Pedraza & Luca Pellegrini Ready to Step Up Alfonso Pedraza would be the most likely replacement if Tavares is deemed unfit to start in Naples. The former Villarreal man was expected to play regularly this season after joining on a free transfer from Villarreal. However, he was dropped to the bench in favour of the Portuguese, who found his form again under Gattuso. Luca Pellegrini is also available after being recently reinstated to Lazio’s Serie A squad list. The Italian is considered Gattuso’s third-choice left-back behind Tavares and Pedraza.
