The Indianapolis Colts are going to sell at the trade deadline, and the only question is how far they go, not if they sell. They've shipped out DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson already, and could move on from Jonathan Taylor, Josh Downs, Keenan Allen, Grover Stewart, and plenty of others. One name that's come up lately is quarterback Daniel Jones. However, despite those rumors picking up steam, Tom Pelissero of The Ringer is reporting that the Colts have decided against trading Jones and have told teams as such prior to deadline day. Colts decide against trading Daniel Jones, per report "The Colts have received calls on QB Daniel Jones ahead of Tuesday's deadline, but they've told interested teams they aren't trading him," Pelissero reports. This is a very interesting report from Pelissero, as it implies that the Colts have actually been fielding trade inquiries on their starting quarterback. Teams like the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings , contenders with shaky QB situations, would make sense for Jones. However, it seems they won't be trading him. Pelissero's report says the Colts are turning down offers for Jones, which seems odd since the Colts' 2026 season is pretty much over and Jones is unlikely to be in their future plans. The Colts are sellers, and if some team is willing to offer a reasonable package for Jones, they should be receptive to such a trade. However, they are reportedly keeping Jones instead of taking a deal and starting Riley Leonard or Anthony Richardson Sr. this season. Nothing is final, and the Colts could change their minds if some other contender loses their QB this season and makes a serious push for Jones. But, as of now, it seems unlikely Jones will be traded based on Pelissero's report.
