Man United explore shock move for 14-cap England international amid Benjamin Sesko injury blow
TalkSport

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a striker target for Manchester United after news of a long-term injury for Benjamin Sesko , talkSPORT understands.
It’s understood that Sesko is out until January at the least with a shin issue he picked up before the international break.
United now appear to be looking for a back-up option to sign in the January transfer window, with Calvert-Lewin a possibility.
The club is exploring a move for the Leeds United forward, who has scored four Premier League goals this season.
Calvert-Lewin, a 14-time international for England , joined Leeds as a free agent last summer and 20 goals in 49 outings overall.
His current contract runs until June 2028, but a deal would come as a real surprise.
United and Leeds are historic rivals, and therefore rarely engage in business with each other.
Leading the line for Leeds
The 29-year-old scored their equaliser in the 1-1 draw with United at Elland Road on October 10.
Calvert-Lewin has played in all of their Premier League and Carabao Cup fixtures this season, starting eight out of ten of those.
His total of five goals in all competitions is more than the top scorer at United.
Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo have four each, with the former netting three of his in a 5-2 victory over Ipswich Town.
United’s lack of goals is one of a number of factors contributing to a season that is already becoming one to forget.
Head coach Michael Carrick has overseen just two wins from 12 and is under increasing pressure at Old Trafford.
He is set to be given time to turn things around at the club, starting with a trip to Chelsea on Saturday, live on talkSPORT .
Defeat at Stamford Bridge could spell the end of his tenure, though United are split over a replacement.
Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann are contenders for the potential vacancy, but United do not want another interim appointment.
United are without a win in their last eight matches and 16th in the Premier League, one point above the bottom three.
After Chelsea, they face Roma in the Champions League and then Aston Villa before the next international break.
