Bills Mafia gets a cool, cloudy night for Monday Night Football
Yahoo Sports
The Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings will play on Monday Night Football, a marquee matchup between two 6-1 teams with opposite identities.
It’s also another dome matchup for the AFC East-leading Bills, which means weather won't play a role in the game’s outcome. It is, however, another prime-time game and opportunity for Bills mafia to gather at home or the local bar to watch their hometown team. So what’s the local weather going to be like?
Bills vs. Vikings weather forecast for Rochester
By the time kickoff starts at 8:15 p.m., temperatures will have dropped into the upper 40s, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with winds out of the west and there’s no potential for precipitation. The normal max temperature on Nov. 9 in Rochester is 52 degrees; the forecast predicts a high of just 54 degrees but will only drop to 46 degrees by the end of the day.
Conditions earlier in the day will be similar, though winds will be stronger. The warmest stretch of the day will be between 1 to 4 p.m. A slight chance of rain leaves the forecast in the noon hour.
The AccuWeather forecast is more volatile, with strong winds expected, cooler temperatures at just 44 degrees and much cloudier skies. The forecast agrees there’s little to no probability of precipitation, though.
Will weather affect the Bills vs. Vikings game ?
There won’t be any weather impacts inside U.S. Bank Stadium, the Vikings’ dome that opened a decade ago in Minneapolis. Despite being on the road, the Bills are three-point favorites. The over/under is set at 44 points.
The Vikings lead the all-time series with the Bills, 9-6. The Vikings won the last matchup in an overtime battle in November 2022, 33-30. The Bills were up 27-10 in the third quarter before having to tie on a last-second kick by Tyler Bass.
The Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings play Monday, Nov. 9 at 8:15 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC affiliates, including WHAM Channel 13 in Rochester. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will call the game with sideline reporters Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge.
