Analyzing final injury reports for Raiders and 49ers Week 9 matchup

Both the Raiders and the 49ers put out their final injury reports today. But one of those injury reports is far more interesting than the other. But we will look at both to see how they could impact each team. Raiders injury report vs the 49ers DT Thomas Booker is the only Raiders player who is OUT after suffering an ankle injury on Wednesday. These days he's running with the second wave at defensive tackle behind starters Tonka Hemingway and Adam Butler and alongside nose tackle Folorunso Fatukasi. Booker's absence would have meant more snaps for Jonah Laulu had the Raiders not waived him last week allowing him to be scooped up by the Titans. Other DTs on the roster are nose tackles Tim Keenan and JJ Pegues. CB Darien Porter is Questionable with a groin injury he suffered early in last Sunday's game vs the Jets. When he went out, the battle he was in at left cornerback with Hezekiah Masses switched to being between Masses and fellow rookie Jermod McCoy. I'd expect that to continue should Porter be unable to go. 49ers injury report vs the Raiders WRs Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and Christian Kirk are all OUT. This is a pretty big deal as that is their top two starters plus Kirk who is coming off IR and would have likely stepped up to start for one of them. That's a significant wipeout for the 49ers receiving corps . That means the likely starters at wide receiver for the 49ers will be Jordan Watkins and Demarcus Robinson. Robinson is coming off IR himself and should be activated according to head coach Kyle Shanahan . He and Watkins have a combined 11 catches for 222 yards and one touchdown on the season. Other receivers who could see increased playing time include Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing, and KhaDarel Hodge. Just as big a story as their top receivers being OUT is the players who have been removed from the injury report altogether. RB Christian McCaffrey suffered a hamstring injury in their game two weeks ago that caused him to miss practice to start the week. He as still limited as of yesterday, but today was full go and thus was removed from the injury report. DE Nick Bosa had been on injured reserve since week two. He was limited the first two practices of the week, but, just like McCaffrey was full go no Friday and removed from the injury report. Both of those returns are huge for the 49ers on both sides of the ball. Four DBs are Questionable for the 49ers including CB Updton Stout, CB Nate Hobbs, S Siran Neal, and S Marques Sigle. Hobbs's status to return from IR against his former team is still up in the air according to Shanahan.
