😒 After Kovač's extension: BVB punished for lifeless display

Only on Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund announced that Niko Kovač had extended his contract until 2029. Given their impressive points tally, the move may have seemed only logical. Yet quite a few BVB fans struggled to accept the decision because of the team's often uninspiring style of play. Just one day later, those very skeptics will likely feel vindicated. The Black and Yellows are putting in an utterly lackluster Champions League performance against Norwegian side F.K. Bodø/Glimt. By halftime, supporters had already delivered a damning verdict on their team's performance. But things only got worse after the restart. Fredrik Sjøvold gave the impressive Scandinavians a thoroughly deserved lead after 52 minutes. BVB will now have to pull out all the stops to calm their fans' tempers.
