Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-08

This policy explains what personal data LiveStatsHub collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what control you have over it.

1. Who we are

LiveStatsHub is a live sports statistics service. We decide how and why your data is processed, which makes us the data controller. For any question about this policy, use the contact address at the bottom of this page.

2. What we collect

Account data you give us: first and last name, email address and a password, which is stored only as a bcrypt hash and never in readable form. If you sign in with Google we receive your Google account id, email address and name instead of a password. Technical data is recorded automatically: IP address, browser user agent, request identifiers and error reports. If, and only if, you allow analytics cookies, usage data is also collected: the pages you open, the actions you take on them such as following a team or opening a highlight, your language, your device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. When you sign in we also record the country your connection comes from, as reported by Cloudflare, and keep it with your session and account.

3. Why we use it

To create and run your account, to sign you in and keep the session alive, to send email verification, password reset and account activation messages, to run two factor authentication when you enable it, to send notifications about the matches and teams you follow, and to protect the service, a failed login counter locks an account temporarily after repeated wrong passwords.

4. Legal grounds

Account and security processing is necessary to provide the service you asked for and to protect it against abuse. Analytics and any optional communication rest on your consent, which you give in the cookie banner and may withdraw at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting and costs you no functionality.

5. Cookies

We set cookies that are strictly necessary for signing in and for remembering your language. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner, nothing is loaded before that and declining leaves the site fully usable. We run no advertising cookies. The cookie policy lists every entry, what it does and how long it lives.

6. Who we share it with

Resend delivers our transactional email. Google handles sign in with Google for the accounts that use it, and, once you accept analytics cookies, also provides Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, which process usage data on our behalf and may transfer it to the United States under the standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Sentry receives crash and error reports. Sports data flows in the opposite direction: results, statistics and odds come from the Highlightly API, no user data is ever sent there. We do not sell personal data. Cloudflare runs in front of the whole site as a content delivery and protection network, every request passes through it and it tells us the country of your connection.

7. How long we keep it

Account data lives for as long as the account exists and is removed when you delete it. One time codes for verification, password reset and two factor authentication expire within minutes. Technical logs and error reports are kept only as long as they are useful for security and debugging. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months and then deleted automatically, and the cookies behind it expire after two years or as soon as you withdraw consent, whichever comes first.

8. Your rights

You may request access to your data, correction of it, deletion of your account, a copy in a portable format, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest. To stop analytics specifically you do not need to write to us at all: open "Cookie settings" in the footer and switch it off, or install Google's own opt out browser add-on. Send any other request from the address on your account and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children and changes to this policy

The service is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. When this policy changes we update the revision date at the top of the page, and for significant changes we notify signed in users by email.
