Insane LeBron James stat gives 76ers real NBA Finals hope

Yahoo Sports
The Philadelphia 76ers haven’t played in an NBA Finals in over two decades, but a crazy LeBron James stat is offering the franchise reason to believe in 2026. Philly’s electric start to the 2026-27 season continued on Monday night with a convincing win over the Chicago Bulls. The Sixers now move to 7-1 on the year, marking the top record in the NBA during the first two weeks of action. However, that record is even more significant when considering past success LeBron and his team have had with similar records. James has played on four other teams that have started 7-1 , and every one of them has reached the NBA Finals. That includes three NBA championships during those trips. James managed to secure titles with the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers. The 76ers have proven to be extremely dangerous through eight games with their revamped roster. The additions of James and Jaylen Brown have certainly elevated the already-talented Philadelphia squad. However, the team’s depth is scary considering LeBron and Joel Embiid have taken days of early in the season as they manage the superstars’ minutes. James is averaging over 16 points per game this season for Philly, but he’s appeared comfortable taking a step back from being the focal point of the team’s offense. Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Brown and Embiid have all shown their capabilities in the first month of action. Meanwhile, it’ll likely only get better for the Sixers as the team’s chemistry continues to evolve. —   Enjoy free coverage of the top news & trending stories with The Big Lead Newsletter   —
