LSU football OL Weston Davis exits Alabama game: Injury update
Yahoo Sports
BATON ROUGE, La. — In the third quarter of No. 15 LSU football's matchup against No. 9 Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Tigers Stadium, LSU right tackle Weston Davis went down with an injury.
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds, the sophomore lineman went down after a big-time play for the Tigers on a 32-yard pass from quarterback Sam Leavitt to wide receiver Jackson Harris. It appeared that Davis hurt his ankle, and he was assisted off the field and taken into the medical tent.
Playing in his place for the remainder of the Tigers' drive was junior right tackle Sean Thompkins Jr. Davis exited the medical tent on crutches and headed in the direction of LSU's locker room.
Davis has started every game this season. He has been a key starter on the offensive line for LSU for the past two seasons, starting in 10 of the 12 games he appeared in last season.
At the time of Davis' injury, LSU was trailing 10-6, having yet to score a touchdown.
